StaytheCourse plus size community supporting full-bodied living

"It has certainly been a long, hard past few years!"

I am sure many of you would agree with that statement. No one has been immune from the finical and economic happenings in America and around the world. Neither has StaytheCourse. But we are still here and will be reuniting soon as a group and online community. I figure, if our name is StaytheCourse, we should do just that. We will come back bigger, better and more customer focused and aware than ever.

We make excuses. We craft them like dearly loved hobbies. We plan them, study them, go over them, tweak them, then execute them. We excuse our behavior, our fears, our faults, our deceptions; especially to ourselves. We use our health, our car, the weather, family members, appointments, fathom illnesses, anything that will get us out of having to participate in life- just because it is too hard. But then we whine that we can not move ourselves beyond our condition our situation.

Well, we never will because we accept the easy answer to hardship- we make an excuse!

I would never trade my amazing friends, my wonderful life, my loving family for less gray hair or a flatter belly. As I've aged, I've become kinder to myself, and less critical of myself. I've become my own friend. I don't chide myself for eating that extra cookie, or for not making
my bed, or for buying that silly cement gecko that I didn't need, but looks so avante garde on my patio.. I am entitled to a treat, to be messy, to be extravagant.

I have seen too many dear friends leave this world too ..
